Pathstone launches Capital Campaign for new Mental Health site in Niagara South

Mountainview Building Group matches every dollar donated up to $250,000 for new Pathstone Capital Campaign

Mountainview Building Group has been a long-time supporter of Pathstone Mental Health and is honoured to be able to provide a gift match opportunity as the Pathstone River House RENO Capital Campaign is kicked off.

In one year, Pathstone saw 9,449 kids of which close to 3,800 were from Niagara South. The purchase of the new site, located at 102 River Road in Welland allows Pathstone to put down roots in a strategic location in Niagara South and serve a greater population that has long been seeking mental health support at the St. Catharines site.

This new site, to be named Pathstone’s River House will offer in person walk-in clinic services, one-on-one and group counselling for children, youth and their families. “This new opportunity for Pathstone made sense. Being able to support more kids and families in their own backyards helps everyone. We hope that our commitment to match every dollar donated up to $250,000 will inspire our community to make a donation,” said Mark Basciano, President of Mountainview Building Group.

Your donation makes a big impact

When you donate to the River House RENO Capital campaign your donation be matched dollar or dollar by Mountainview Building Group, and will go towards critical needs including:

Renovations: While this site is in good condition, it was used as a shelter for women and children. The needs at Pathstone are very different and renovations are necessary to remove the lock-down feel and create a warm and welcoming space that can accommodate the kids and families we will be helping.

Operational Costs: Estimated to be around $25K annually.

Staffing Needs: To keep up with the increased demand, Pathstone will add new staff to the site in Welland to support the needs of clients who will receive support at River House.

Construction is set to begin in April with a target to open River House by October, 2022.

Your support today, will go right to work for Niagara’s kids and ensures we can continue to meet the ever-increasing mental health care demand.  To donate now visit the campaign site  https://pathstonefoundation.ca/riverhouse/
